Plastic Odyssey began as an ambitious maritime expedition to understand the roots of plastic pollution and demonstrate practical recycling solutions in regions lacking waste infrastructure. Plastic Odyssey Fund is a U.S. nonprofit organization created to support and accelerate global action against ocean plastic pollution. Established in the United States as a 501(c)(3) public charity, the Fund serves as the American philanthropic arm of the Plastic Odyssey initiative, enabling donors and partners to support high-impact environmental missions around the world.
Based in San Francisco, California, Plastic Odyssey Fund connects U.S. philanthropy with concrete, science-based solutions to protect marine ecosystems and restore some of the planet’s most threatened natural sites.
